The Libertarian and Anarcho-Capitalist types are a peoples who i run into all too often in my debating and discussion, i have extrapolated a theory from my many encounters with them. I will call this theory The Libertarian Corrosive Philosophy of the LCP if you will.
L.C.P/The Tragedy of Liberal Individualism on Libertarian Belief
The L.C.P is the proposition that the theories and assumptions upon which libertarian and ancap beliefs are based in the same base theories of liberal individualism. Liberal Individualism, which is the philosophy taught and insisted upon by societal elites and similar leadership in a liberal democracy, is present in informing capital in it's goals. Essentially the systems of liberal democracy guide or rather attempt to artificially tug the path of history and the judgement of history in a liberal fashion and their universalist revisionist accusations and other nonsense. This reason alone shows the inherent correlation between such philosophy of that in liberalism-that insists individuals require the prioritization of (the liberal conception of) freedom and the ancap version; a certain extreme 'liberation of individuals'. Additionally ancapians have no problem with private entities purchasing 'citizen passes', also in these extreme individualists groups is a dedication to getting rid of minority groups, which 'economic freedom' can not solve their deeply rooted issues. All of sudden you may feel i went too far with that insinuation of that belief being rampant upon the 'libertarian' crowd, but is assure you i am not.
The libertarian believes in the consistent philosophy of the individual over the collective. This, which in turn becomes a struggle to pull society in your direction, alas only instead realizing society is being effected by the actual material conditions of which reality is based in and this idealism is slowly tearing holes in their thinking. This is seen in more chauvinistic belief that "some people are gonna starve but some people gotta starve for our system to work" which if you bring to it's logical conclusion, the more extreme sects simply specify that "Those (specific, race, gender, creed) people need to starve and be expelled from our system for our system to be pure in *ideology*. This willingness in the communities of Anarcho-capitalists to tolerate such ridiculous notions is more than enough for me to make the accusation that such a society emulates liberalism. As liberalism makes these same judgements albeit slightly more 'reasonable' and in a more appealing way to the common man.
Unfortunately the most successfully hegemonic ideology of today is liberalism and until that changes we will see a distinction between these similar ideology. Until the time liberalism crumbles because of it's contradictions in it's philosophy; We will pretend Ancaps and Libertarians are not the creation of liberalism, as a way to create fear for something remarkably worse than itself to bring more power to it's more 'moderate' policy.
